Saving and reusing scripts

Organize frequent queries in QueryMesh Explorer to speed up recurring analysis and reduce manual errors.

When to use this​

  • Use it when a query will be run again.
  • Use it to keep a trustworthy version of a recurring analysis.
  • Use it to get straight back to an investigation in progress.

Before you start​

  • Have a validated query with the result you expect.
  • Choose a name that explains the analysis's purpose.
  • Remove temporary filters that could confuse future uses.

Step by step​

  1. Write or open the query in QueryMesh Explorer.
  2. Run a preview to confirm the script is correct.
  3. Click to save the script.
  4. Give it a clear name — the area, the metric, and the period, where that makes sense.
  5. Open the saved script list when you want to reuse the query.
  6. Review the filters before running it again.

What happens next​

  • The script is available for reuse in your workspace.
  • Every new run still respects the current access rules.
  • Changes to data rules can alter which results are available later.

Common errors​

  • A saved script no longer returns data: the access, the period, or the table's structure may have changed.
  • Too generic a name: it becomes hard to find the right query later.
  • An old query uses a removed column: review the table in the catalog.

Good practice​

  • Use consistent names for recurring scripts.
  • Keep only useful queries and remove old drafts.
  • Review important scripts when access rules or tables change.
