Release notes
This page describes the current state of Imaginne: what's available today, across every surface. As the product evolves, it's updated to reflect the capabilities in production — always factually.
Instead of a list of version numbers, we keep an honest snapshot here of what you can use right now. To track changes in your client, use the auto-updater (Desktop app) or imaginne update (TUI) — see How to keep up with what's new.
Available surfaces
You use Imaginne wherever you're most productive:

What's new in the browser chat
The web chat is no longer just a message box:
- Projects and search — folders to organize conversations (with drag and drop) and global content search with ⌘/Ctrl+K. See Projects & search.
- Conversation actions — rename, move, pin, archive, duplicate, and delete.
- Attachments — send documents, spreadsheets, presentations, images, text/code, and archives (up to 50 MB per file, 10 per message) via the paperclip, drag and drop, or paste. See Attachments & files.
- Account files — everything the agent delivers is kept, with 100 MB per user, plus download and delete.
- Background runs — closing the tab cancels nothing, and status dots show what's running in each conversation.
- Voice — record with the browser's microphone and the transcript fills the composer. See Voice.
- Account memory — Imaginne keeps your preferences and context, with approval, categories, and explicit limits. See Account memory.
- Settings — light/dark theme, Enter behavior, run details, and automatic memory, saved to your account.
- Integrations — the same OAuth connection panel as the Desktop app and
/app, now inside the chat.
Models
The product exposes two logical models, plus an automatic mode that routes per turn:
nnumbers— the primary model, for general work (default).nnumbers-code— the specialist for development and code.
Availability can be tuned by the organization's policy and by your own keys (BYOK). Details in Models and in the models reference.
Bundled skills
Every installation already comes with ready-made skills to produce documents and presentations, installed automatically:
ppt_skill— generate executive.pptxpresentations with a native engine that picks the visual automatically.docx— create, read, and edit.docx.excel— create, read, and edit.xlsx.pdf— create, read, and edit PDF.
Beyond documents, the agent also generates images from prompts (image artifacts), delivered as artifacts like any other file.

Governance and administration
The console at /app gives the administrator end-to-end control:
- Users and roles — org admin, skills admin, and user; access via the organization login only (no API keys). See Users & roles.
- Profiles and skill groups — they link skills to users and delegate administration. See Profiles and Skill groups.
- Governance rules — per-scope policies with a simulator. See Governance.
- Bring your own keys (BYOK) — per-organization, write-only keys for supported vendors. See BYOK.
- Environment secrets — per-organization credentials, injected only when the skill declares them. See Environment secrets.
- Audit — a record of administrative actions. See Audit.
Skill creation
You turn processes into reusable skills with Skill Studio (/app → Skills): creation by form, ZIP import, or conversational generation, with versioning, changelog, and rollback. See Create a skill and the walkthrough in Create a process skill.
Security
The model is local-first: on the app surfaces, your files stay on your machine and only the prompt content leaves — always through the Gateway, with a layer that redacts known secrets and PII. Identity is single and revocable. See Security & privacy.
How to keep up with what's new
- Desktop — on startup, the app checks a signed manifest and notifies you when an update is available (see Install Desktop).
- Terminal (TUI) — run
imaginne update, or/updateduring a session. - VS Code — the extension updates itself through the editor's own marketplace.
- Documentation — this section and the rest of the docs reflect what's in production.
Imaginne evolves with feedback from the people who use it. Send suggestions, problems, or requests straight from the tool with /fb (in the Desktop app and the TUI; in the TUI, /feedback works too). To report a technical problem, attach a diagnostic — see Troubleshooting.
