Skills (governance)
The Skills page (/org/skills) is your organization's skill catalog. This is where you create or import skills, control how they execute, manage versions, and make them available (via profiles) to people. This page covers governance in the console; for in-depth authoring (manifest structure, examples, execution modes in detail), see the Skills section.
The catalog
The listing shows the organization's skills with name, group, status, and version. You can filter by:
- Group — narrows to the chosen skill group.
- Status — for example, draft/published/archived.
- Category — the category declared on the skill.
Two actions start a new skill:
- Create Skill — creates a skill from scratch (includes the conversational generator, the Skill Studio).
- Import from ZIP — imports a ready-made package (
manifest.yaml+prompt.md+ scripts).

Skill detail and editor
Opening a skill leads to the editor, split into tabs/cards:
Metadata
Holds the metadata and the execution mode selector:

Protected (local_protected) | Only a summary stays on disk; the content arrives in a verified bundle, extracted into a temporary folder and removed after execution. |

Prompt Editor
Edits the skill's prompt content, with:
- Changelog — required when publishing a new version; describes what changed.
- Manifest banner — validates the manifest and blocks publishing while there's an error, showing what to fix.
Files
Shows the skill's files, separating the draft from the published versions, with tabs for manifest, SKILL.md, scripts, and assets.
Env Secrets
Lists and manages the env-secrets the skill uses. Imaginne only injects a secret if the skill declares it in required_env (or env.secrets).
Version History
History of published versions, with rollback: create a new version from an older one.
Profiles using
Shows which profiles include this skill — useful for understanding the reach before changing or archiving it.
Publish and version
- The version is the manifest's
versionfield (a semver string). - Publishing the same version with identical content is a no-op; the same version with different content is rejected (bump the version).
- Publishing deprecates the current version and promotes the new one; rollback creates a new version from a previous one.
- After publishing, the policy is invalidated: the next request refetches, and clients sync skills at the start of the session.

Archive
Archive removes the skill from users' reach (it drops out of sessions on the next sync). It's the way to retire a skill without erasing the version history.
